Annie Leibovitz is a world-renowned photographer best known for her celebrity portraits and work for various popular American magazines. Her journey in photography officially began in 1967 when she enrolled at the San Francisco Art Institute. Initially, Leibovitz majored in painting before discovering her passion for photography.
In the 1970s, she worked on commission for Rolling Stone magazine during its early years, and at just twenty-three, she became their chief photographer. In 1975, she served as the tour photographer for the Rolling Stones, travelling throughout the Americas and solidifying her reputation as a leading rock and music photographer. She also captured significant moments and figures in American politics during this decade.
