Perry Tung
Senior Canadian & International Art Specialist
Perry is a fine art specialist and auctioneer with over 20 years of experience in both the primary and secondary art markets. Perry started his career with a local Toronto auction house working his way up through the ranks to become Director of International Art. After 9 years he progressed to become a Canadian representative of a large International auction house based in Toronto. Educated at the University of Toronto, where he completed his degree in Fine Art History and English Literature, he continued his education in the arts at Humber College, completing post-graduate courses in Cultural Management while working at the Museum of Contemporary Canadian Art (formerly the Art Gallery of North York).
Perry is a regular commentator and lecturer on Canadian art and the auction market in Canada. He co-authored Art in North America for an online learning platform and has appeared as a guest judge on the acclaimed Netflix show Blown Away. He also volunteers his time each year as the auctioneer for various charity events in Toronto, including: Art with Heart's Contemporary Fine Art Auction benefiting Casey House; Snap! A Contemporary Canadian Photography Auction for the Aids Committee of Toronto; Mercer Union's Stellar Living; a Canadian Design and Fine Art Auction and C Magazine's Contemporary Fine Art Auction.
