According to Maud Lewis authority, Alan Deacon, this serial image was mainly painted by Maud Lewis during the 1960s. Deacon believes that this work may be an earlier version of the subject, possibly painted circa 1963, as Lewis does not employ blue shadowing around the conifers, which the painter added in later versions of the scene.
