Ted Kramolc
(1922 - 2013)

Theodore Maria ("Ted") Kramolc was born in Ljubljana, Slovenia on March 27, 1922. He was a graduate of the Drawing and Painting program of the Ontario College of Art, Toronto with an Honour Diploma First Class in 1951. He studied under Jock Macdonald and was a friend and classmate of William Ronald, both later members of Painters Eleven. Kramolc's work as an abstract artist achieved recognition with 1960 works entering the Art Gallery of Ontario and National Gallery of Canada permanent collections. In his later career, he created work as an author as his painting turned largely representational.
