Peter Kolacz is an artist incessantly peering into the nuances of our daily routines and constantly commenting, with his paintings, on our idiosyncrasies and contradictions. Born in 1968 into a family of artists and educated at The Arts Student League in New York and the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw, Kolacz is an active Canadian painter endowed with a profound inquisitive mind and a consummated painting style that has drown the attention of gallerists and the interest of private collectors. In fact he has appeared on the art scene first by receiving Third prize in Soho International Competition of 1989 (over 3,000 entrants) and subsequently by exhibiting extensively both in North America and in Europe, where his work has elicited the interest of the art world with his conceptual abstract paintings.
