Lynne Cohen was a Wisconsin-born photographer who spent most of her career in Canada. Cohen’s work focuses on capturing the geometry of interior spaces, challenging the viewer’s reception of everyday inhabited space. Before becoming a photographer, Cohen trained as a sculptor and printmaker. Her work shows a contemplative level of engagement with the artificial world around her as she continues to explore innovative ways of framing her subject matter to engage the viewer in a level of mystery.
