According to Sheila Metzner, “Photography...in its most basic form is magic...This image, caught in my trap, my box of darkness, can live. It is eternal, immortal.” When she is not working in fashion and advertising for high fashion brands, Metzner's personal projects focus on the human form, as well as natural and urban scenes. In this image for her Dynamo Series, a male figure named Rick stands nude, leaning on a raised leg. This image exemplifies the depth and softness characteristic of Metzner’s work, showcasing her sensitivity in framing her subjects.
