This drawing by Lawern Harris is from Sketchbook VI (indicated by the inscription of “239” on the reverse), which includes sketches from Jasper and Mount Robson executed in 1929.
Harris has compiled two views in this drawing - on the left is Mount Robson, just above Berg Lake, with the Tumbling Glacier and on the right a possible location of Colin Range in Jasper or a different area of Berg Lake. On the reverse is a rapid sketch of Berg Lake observed from part-way up the mountain.
We extend our thanks to Alec Blair, Director & Lead Researcher of the Lawren S. Harris Inventory Project, for his assistance in researching this artwork.
