Pauline Thibodeau Paquin
(1952)

Born in Sainte-Monique (Quebec, Canada), Pauline Paquin is the mother of three sons. She is currently living in Ste Adele (Laurentians) where she continues to paint since she started in 1979.

A self-taught painter, she draws upon her past experience as a school nurse, which afforded her a window into the fascinating world of childhood, with all the imagination, spontaneity and simplicity that goes with it.

Each painting illustrates a unique moment, a magical moment, within a child’s universe. The scenes, either actual or fictitious, bring us back to our own childhood moments. The voluntary omission of facial features makes it easier for us to be drawn into the painting.
