Treasures: Venice by Teodora Pica

Teodora Pica is a Canadian visual artist who maintains her practice both in Toronto, where she lives, and in the historic village of Brasov in Transylvania, Romania. She works in painting, sculpture, experimental printmaking and photography. Her work ranges from traditional landscapes to minimalist sculpture and abstract architectural mixed media works.

The third generation of a family of artists, she first studied at the Ion Mincu University of Architecture in Bucharest. She obtained a Bachelor of Architecture degree from John H. Daniels Faculty of Architecture, Landscape and Design, University of Toronto, and later, she studied painting and drawing at the Ontario College of Art and Design University. She currently shows her work at ARTUNIT gallery in Toronto, where she also runs a studio, initiating collaborative experimental art projects with other artists.
