Explained in a commemorative booklet for the construction of 95 Wellington Street West – now known as the TD Centre – in Toronto, artist John Hooper “chose a free-spirited, multi-media sculpture for his commissioned work. The animated sky-scape and three-dimensional figures, based on greek mythology, symbolize man's ingenuity, ambition and desire to reach beyond his grasp.” The final Icarus-like sculpture was unveiled in October 1988.
