Maud Lewis authority Alan Deacon estimates that this artwork was painted by the artist circa 1968/1969.
A scene painted in various depictions - from the village of Digby, to the harbour itself - Lewis evokes the charm of the small town in Nova Scotia. The town was home to Lewis where she lived with her aunt after the death of her parents and , like the artist's other work, “Digby Harbour” draws on her everyday experiences.
