Maud Lewis authority Alan Deacon estimates that this artwork was painted by the artist circa 1968/1969.
A popular image for the artist, Lewis' three charming cats peer out at the viewer with their big yellow eyes. Much like the artist’s home in Marshalltown, Nova Scotia, the signature vibrant colours and simplified forms of the cats and scene bring about large character in a small scale.
